India’s 77th Independence Day was celebrated in all its solemn and dignified demeanour at RVS Academy. To grace this occasion, the school Chairman, Mr. Binda Singh, the Secretary, Mr. Bharat Singh, the treasurer, Mr. Shatrughan Singh, the member of the Executive Committee, Mr. Shakti Singh, the Principal,Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, the Vice-Principal, Mrs. Anita Tiwari, teachers, parents and the students were present. The events commenced by hoisting the National flag by the Chairman, Mr.Binda Singh filling out hearts with pride and patriotism. This was followed by National Anthem which resonated through the air with patriotic feelings. Fabulous March past display by the four Houses, Rose, Violet sunflower and Aster was worth watching.
The students, ignited with patriotism, presented a spectacular array of performances that captured the essence of our nation’s journey towards freedom.
The School Chairman, Mr. Binda Singh in his speech advised the students to learn the value of sharing and caring and to choose a goal according to their interest. The Secretary, Mr. Bharat Singh motivated the children to inculcate positive attitudes in them and feel proud to be the citizen of India.
A strings of events marked the glorious celebration of ‘Azadika Amrit Mahotsav’ with the theme ‘NATION FIRST, ALWAYS FIRST’. The Patriotic song Competition winners presented patriotic songs. This was followed by the fiery speeches by the students in both Hindi and English. The Dance performaces by the students stirred the patriotic spirit in all. The Principal, Mrs.Veesha Mohindra delivered an inspirational speech wherein she asserted the terms like loyalty, harmony and nationality. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Anita Tiwari proposed the vote of thanks. The day ended on a sweet note by singing Vande Mataram and by distributing sweets to the Children and the faculty.
