Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India – As part of the British Council’s Recognition of International Dimensions in School project, students of RVS Academy, Dimna Road, Mango, presented a thought-provoking skit on child labour during the morning assembly. The event, attended by Chairman Mr. Binda Singh, Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Tiwari, teachers, and students, aimed to raise awareness about the social evil of child labour.

The skit, prepared and performed by the students, effectively conveyed the message about the importance of education and the need to protect children from exploitation. The program was a resounding success, with the audience appreciating the students’ efforts to highlight this critical issue.

Chairman Mr. Binda Singh commended the students’ efforts, saying, “Today, our students have courageously brought to light the dark reality of child labour, a social menace that robs children of their childhood, dignity, and future. Child labour is a scourge on our society, denying children their fundamental right to education, health, and protection. We must work together to create a society where children are protected, educated, and empowered to reach their full potential.”

Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra added, “Let us pledge to create a child labour-free world, where children can grow, learn, and thrive without fear of exploitation.”

The event marked a significant step towards raising awareness about child labour and its devastating effects on society. RVS Academy remains committed to empowering students to become responsible citizens and agents of change.
