RVS Academy at Dimna Road, Mango, Jamshedpur celebrated the auspicious festival of Diwali with grandeur and joy on 30 October. The school campus was filled with an atmosphere of excitement and cheer, displaying the essence of traditional beliefs and cultural diversity.
The event began with the morning assembly, where Class 5 students delivered a beautiful presentation. On this occasion, the children performed an enchanting skit based on the theme of Diwali, conveying the message of the triumph of truth over falsehood, light over darkness, and good over evil. Alongside this, they presented a melodious song extolling the glory of the festival, mesmerizing everyone present. The assembly concluded with a brief yet inspiring speech and message.
Following the assembly, students from Classes 4 to 8 participated in various creative competitions, including greeting card making, toran (door hangings) making, and diya decoration. The students showcased their talents and creativity uniquely. Meanwhile, the little ones from Nursery, LKG, and UKG captivated everyone with their innocence and playfulness in traditional attire, filling the atmosphere with the essence of Indian culture.
The school’s Eco Club organized a rally to promote environmental awareness on this occasion. During the rally, the children distributed attractive handouts to spread the message of an ‘Eco-Friendly Diwali’ and ‘Green Diwali,’ encouraging a safe and environment-friendly celebration. This effort was instrumental in fostering awareness about environmental conservation and cleanliness among both the students and the community.
The school’s Chairman, Mr. Binda Singh, extended warm Diwali wishes to all the students, encouraging them to follow the path of truth, honesty, and social service, inspiring them to be dedicated to the nation, society, and family. The Principal, Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, and Vice-Principal, Mrs. Anita Tiwari, were also present on the occasion. Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra conveyed her wishes, urging the children to celebrate a “Safe Diwali with Happiness.”
Thus, the Diwali celebration at RVS Academy was not only filled with joy and creativity but also inspired the students to become more aware and responsible towards society and the environment.
