Road safety month is being observed from 18thJanuary, 2021 to 17th February, 2021 by H.R.D. ministry all over India. Numerous initiatives are being taken by the government to promote and ingrainculture of road safety.
Setting the tone of one-month long observance, RVS Academy organised Road Safety programme on 12thFebruary, 2021.The students enthusiastically participated in the programme to bring awareness about the norms of road safety.
India is a country, where 85% of passengers and 65% of freights travel by road and deaths on road due to accidents is a common scenario. This programme was organised in order to be a part of this great social cause. The students of std X& XII displayed colourful and informative placards and banners stressing upon the need to follow certain rules which read as follows: Safe driving saves lives, Fast drive could be the last drive, Stop accidents before they stop you, Helmet for all, Use seatbelts and so on.
The awareness drive was very well carried out which was informative for all. It drove the message of safe driving and to follow proper road rules. The management, who has always been encouraging and supportive for this kind of cause, appreciated the efforts put in by the students as well as the teachers. They were advised to conduct such awareness programme more frequently and to ensure greater student participation.
