Jamshedpur, Jharkhand – June 25, 2024
RVS Academy, Dimna Road, Mango, Jamshedpur, proudly hosted the ASISC Zonal Debate Competition for the Junior Category on June 25, 2024. The topic of the debate was “Is Online Education as Effective as Traditional Learning,” a subject that elicited insightful arguments from participants.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from 26 CISCE affiliated schools. The competition was graced by esteemed dignitaries including the Chairman of RVS Academy, Mr. Binda Singh, Treasurer Mr. Shatrughna Singh, Executive Committee Member Shakti Singh, Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Tiwari, along with teachers and students from various schools.
Mrs. Jhumjhumi Nandi, Principal of Jusco School Kadma, served as the Moderator for the debate. The panel of judges comprised distinguished English teachers Mrs. Babin Sarkar and Mrs. K. Shaheen from Chinmaya Vidyalaya,Bistupur, and Mrs. Ritu Chattaraj from Jusco School, Kadma.
The competition was fierce, and after an intense series of debates, the following results were announced:
Best Speaker for the Motion: AVIKA PANDEY from Sacred Heart Convent School.
Best Speaker Against the Motion: ISHITA PANDEY from Tarapore School
Second Runners-Up Team: ISHITA PANDEY & TANISHA SHARMA from Tarapore school
First Runners-Up Team: TARUNA SUDARSHAN & SHAMBHABI BAMDYOPADHYAY from Little Flower School
Winners: AVIKA PANDEY & PRAGYA SINGH from Sacred Heart Convent School.
The best speakers for and against the motion have qualified for the Regional Debate Competition, showcasing their exceptional debating skills and profound understanding of the topic.
