RVS Academy, Mango, conducted an informative and engaging session on ‘Personal Hygiene and Understanding Good Touch & Bad Touch’ for the girl students of standard 5 to 7. The event was  held on 13th September , 2024 at the school auditorium, aiming to educate and empower young girls to take charge of their health and safety.

The session was conducted by Dr Sushma Rani, a  gynaecologist and  expert in child health and safety.  The session  focussed on the importance of personal hygiene and provided guidance on recognizing and responding to inappropriate behavior. The key objectives of the session included educating students on the importance of maintaining good hygiene for physical and mental well-being, empowering young girls to identify the difference between good and bad touch and encouraging them to speak up and seek help from trusted adults if they encounter uncomfortable situations. The program was a part of the school’s ongoing efforts to promote a safe, supportive and health-conscious environment for its students.

The Chairman of the school, Mr Binda Singh, in his message said that it is crucial for schools to address issues of health and safety from a young age. Empowering young girls with knowledge is the first step towards protecting their rights and equipping them with the tools to recognize and respond to any risks to their well-being.

The Principal, Mrs Veesha Mohindra also expressed her views on the issue and stated that RVS Academy believes in fostering a learning environment where students not only excel academically but also grow with confidence and self-awareness. This session will help our girls understand how to safeguard their physical and emotional well-being, ensuring that they feel empowered to take care of themselves.

The event was an insightful session that will positively impact the lives of our students, equipping them with essential life skills.
