RVS Academy, Dimna Road, Mango, Jamshedpur, witnessed a vibrant and spiritually enriching celebration of Krishna Janmashtami on Monday, 26th August , 2024. The tiny toddlers of the pre-primary section transformed the campus into a scene from Vrindavan, dressed as little Krishnas and Radhas. A beautifully decorated Krishna Jhula with Baal Gopal took center stage, symbolizing the divine presence and festive spirit.

The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chairman of the school, Mr. Binda Singh. In his inaugural address, Mr. Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in putting together such a beautiful and meaningful celebration. He remarked, “The dedication and creativity displayed by our young learners today is truly commendable. This celebration is not just about enjoying the festivities but also about instilling in our children the values and teachings of Lord Krishna.

The highlight of the event was a captivating dance drama performed by the pre-primary students, depicting the life of Lord Krishna from His miraculous birth to the victory over the tyrant King Kans. ” The celebration also featured students singing devotional songs, including the popular ” Bada Natkhat hai ye Kishan Kanhaiya”. The mischievous acts of Krishna, including his famous ” makhan chori” and raas leela with Gopis were also enacted by the students, leaving the audience in splits.

The young students showcased their talents with remarkable enthusiasm and zest.

The event was attended by the  Principal, Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, the Vice Principal, Mrs. Anita Tiwari, along with teachers and students. The Principal, in her address, emphasized the importance of cultural celebrations in schools as a means of preserving our rich heritage and fostering a sense of unity and devotion among students.
