R V S Academy celebrated the occasion of children’s day on the to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime minister. He was fondly called Chacha Nehru, as his love for the children was famous. Along with being an able administrator, he established some of the most prominent educational Institutions in India. His vision led to the establishment of AIIMS, IIT and IIMs.
The program started with the garlanding of chacha Nehru’s picture, followed by a short speech by a std 6 student. A beautiful song was presented by the students of std 6 and 7. Teacher Prithupriya and Teacher Runu contributed to the program by singing a song for the beloved children of R.V.S Academy. Teacher Kanika enacted a lively monoplay. The entire program was conducted in the presence of the school Principal Mrs. Mitali Roy Choudhury, who conveyed her good wishes and blessings to the children and reiterated that each and every child should be loved and cherished, for each one is unique. She also reminded them to be vigilant and careful in these trying times and become good human beings. The vote of thanks was delivered by teacher Anita Tiwari. The program ended on a happy note.
