RVS Academy at Dimna Road, Mango, Jamshedpur celebrated International Yoga Day on Friday, June 21, with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and staff. The event was graced by the presence of the school’s chairman, Mr. Binda Singh, Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, and Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Tiwari.
The celebration aimed to promote holistic well-being and mindfulness among students through the practice of yoga. The day’s activities included a series of yoga sessions led by experienced instructors, where students and staff practiced various asanas and breathing exercises designed to enhance physical and mental health.
In his address, Mr. Binda Singh emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily routines to foster a balanced lifestyle. “Yoga is not just a form of exercise; it is a way to connect the mind, body, and soul. It brings harmony and peace within ourselves and our surroundings,” he said.
Mrs. Veesha Mohindra highlighted the role of yoga in students’ lives, stating, “In today’s fast-paced world, it is crucial for students to find ways to manage stress and maintain focus. Yoga provides the tools to achieve these goals and cultivate a sense of inner calm and resilience.”
The event also featured a special demonstration by senior students, showcasing advanced yoga postures and their benefits. The interactive session encouraged everyone to participate, regardless of their previous experience with yoga, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
