R.V.S Academy celebrated ‘Tree Plantation Day’ – an annual planting event on Thursday, 10th June, 2021 by planting many trees contributing to economic, social and environmental development.
The Chairman of the school Mr. Binda Singh, Principal Mrs. Mitali Roy Choudhury and Vice Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra were present to grace the occasion.
Every year on 10th June, R.V.S Academy celebrates ‘Tree Plantation Day’ by planting many trees where members of the management, Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers and students actively participate in this event. This year due to the pandemic-Covid-19, students were not present but they were instructed to plant at least one tree in their house to celebrate this day. This day has become more significant as 10th June is the birthday of our Chairman Sir and he wants to contribute towards the environment. So every year to commemorate this day, it is celebrated by planting trees. This pandemic has made us all aware about the importance of oxygen. So many trees such as Banyan Tree, Neem Tree, Indian Bael were planted which give more oxygen.
The Chairman Mr. Binda Singh planted a tree and said that planting trees is a way to remember the past, build hope for the future and improve overall environment. Principal Mrs. Mitali Roy Choudhury and Vice Principal Mrs Veesha Mohindra also planted saplings. Tree plantation is very important for the community and this initiative will go a long way in inculcating awareness among the students about environment conservation.
