RVS Academy students- Future Aspiring Doctors, visit MGM Medical College
RVS Academy organized an educational trip to MGM Medical College in Mango, Jamshedpur for its class XII Biology students, accompanied by two dedicated biology teachers.
The Chairman of the school Mr. Binda Singh said, “the educational trip not only enriched the students’ academic knowledge but also inspired them to pursue careers in the field of biology and medicine. It was an eye-opening experience that broadened their horizons and ignited their passion for the sciences.”
Mrs. Veesha Mohindra Principal of RVS Academy, expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “We are proud to offer such immersive educational experiences to our students. This trip was an opportunity for them to witness the practical applications of biology and medicine, which will undoubtedly motivate and guide them in their academic and career pursuits.”
This engaging visit encompassed an exploration of various departments within the college, delving into the fields of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, and virology. The students were captivated as they observed essential organs like the heart, liver, and kidneys, and even encountered preserved diseased organs at the intriguing anatomy museum.
In the biochemistry department, the students gained valuable insights into testing for the presence of sugar in urine, while also getting a glimpse of the diverse instruments used in pathological testing. The pharmacology department became a platform for enthusiastic students to pose questions, which were expertly addressed by the knowledgeable doctors.
The students left with a wealth of knowledge, discovering details about Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) tests, incubators, Laminar airflow equipment, deep freezers, and the methodology of staining for detecting microorganisms, among many other fascinating aspects.
The Chairman, Mr. Binda Singh emphasized that such educational outings not only offer informative experiences but also serve as a source of inspiration for those students aspiring to become future doctors.
