R.V.S Academy, Dimna, Mango, welcomed Tr. Helen Potter, Tr. Susan Murray, Tr. David Hall and seventeen students from Consett Academy, Durham, United Kingdom on 3rd December 2019. The visit is a part of the Connecting Classrooms project by British Council. The members of the School Management, the Chairman Mr. Binda Singh, the secretary Mr. Bharat Singh, the Treasurer Mr. Shatrughan Singh, the Executive member Mr. Shakti Singh, the Principal, Mrs. Mitali Roy Choudhury, the Vice Principal, Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, Sr. School Coordinator Mrs. Anita Tiwari, Staff and Students of R.V.S. Academy welcomed the esteemed guests from the United Kingdom. The seven day visit aims at fun experience for students and teachers of both the countries , providing all with exposure to new culture, language and international awareness.
The guests were welcomed and felicitated in the Morning Assembly. The Principal delivered the welcome speech. The assembly programme ended with speech by Mrs. Helen Porter in which she appreciated the School Management and Principal for giving them an opportunity to interact with students and teachers. She also expressed her gratitude for the hearty welcome by the school.
The guests visited the classrooms and had an interaction with the students. They specially liked their visit to pre primary classes. This was followed by Group discussion on topic Re use of Exhaustible Resources and Indian Culture Students of std XI and XII had a healthy, informative discussion with the students from Consett Academy.
The guests were also taken to Sai Temple at Sonari and Jubilee Park in the evening. The visitors were mesmerised at the beauty of the places they visited.
